Annual Mass

Mass

Insofar as the formal programme of events is concerned, we kicked-off with a special 150th anniversary Mass in St Andrew’s Church on Sunday 30th November. Dr Diarmuid Martin, Archbishop of Dublin, celebrated the Mass.  Concelebrating were Fr John Gilligan, Administrator, St Andrews Parish, and past pupil priests, Canon Patsy Fagan, Monsignor Dan O’Connor, Fr. Eugene McCarthy, Chaplain PPU and Fr Mick Cullen. The congregation included the Deputy Lord Mayor, Br Edmund Garvey, Province Leader, European Province of the Christian Brothers, Mr Kevin Humphreys TD, Minister of State at the Dept. of Social Protection, Principal and Deputy Principal of the school, a large number of the pupils, and many past pupils. The Archbishop paid a generous tribute to the impact the school has had on Irish society during its illustrious history.
